The CVHS Choral Program consists of four choirs, each with its own educational focus and goals.  An ASB card and completed online registration are required for all Vocal Music classes.

  • Concert Choir - is open to all students in grades 9-12 without an audition or any prior choral experience.  Students will gain ensemble experience, singing technique, sight singing skills, and practice skills that will prepare them to participate in the more advanced choirs at CVHS.  Concert Choir is a great opportunity to advance through CV's Choral Program.
  • Symphonic Choir - is the Flagship and premier choral ensemble at CVHS.  It is open, by audition, to students in grades 10-12 with advanced vocal skills.  Symphonic Choir requires a high level of commitment in rehearsal and performance.  It is a year-long commitment with auditions mid-year being made on an individual basis.
  • Chamber Choir - students are the ambassadors for CVHS and are most visible in our community.  Chamber Choir is open, by auditions, to stduents in grades 10-12 with the highest vocal skills.  It is our most elite ensemble and meets daily during zero hour.  Chamber Choir performs difficult repertoire and requires the highest level of commitment in attendance, rehearsal, and performance.  It is a year-long commitment.
  • Treble Choir - is open, by audition, to students with treble voices (Soprano or Alto) in grades 10-12 with advanced vocal skills.  Treble Choir is an elite group that performs difficult repertoire requiring a high level of commitment in rehearsal and performance.  It is a year-long commitment with auditions mid-year being made on an individual basis.
  • The CVHS choral program is very strong and well-respected throughout the northwest. Students' musical growth are developed in this excellent program.  It is a place that students can call "home" and a program for those who want to develop music and vocal skills.  Choral members are presented with numerous opportunities to grow and succeed in CV's amazing Fine Arts Department (band, choir, orchestra, and drama).
