Is your student interested in attending Running Start next year?  Mark your calendars for our Running Start Information Night.  Info will be shared by your CV counseling team and representatives from EWU, SCC, and SFCC.  Student and parent/guardian attendance is recommended.  Attendance from current Running Start students is not required as the information is geared towards new students.  We look forward to seeing you there!  

 
What is Running Start?
Running Start offers eligible juniors and seniors in local public high schools the opportunity to enroll in courses at Eastern Washington University, Spokane Community College, and Spokane Falls Community College. The Running Start Program encourages academically motivated and qualified public high school students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. Tuition credits are free, but students are responsible for all fees including books, supplies, school fees, and transportation. 
 
Who is Eligible?
Students going into 11th or 12th Grade, attending a public high school in the state of Washington.  Each college has their own process and admissions standards.  Please check the college Running Start page on their website for more information.     
 
How Do I Apply?
After watching the informational webinar, join the below Google Classroom, and follow the 4-Step Enrollment Process:
  1. Welcome to Running Start (in Google Classroom)
  2. Running Start Agreement (in Google Classroom)
  3. College Application (links are in Google Classroom)
  4. Meet with your CVHS Counselor (links are in Google Classroom)

When Should You Apply?
